In this article we explain how you download routes from Bikemap and transfer it into your Garmin (via USB)

Step 1: Download a route as GPX or KML from Bikemap
Step 2: Connect your navigation device to your computer via USB
Step 3: Move the GPX file of your route to the navigation device
Step 4: Disconnect the device from the computer and open the GPX file on the navigation device

Step 1: Download a route as GPX or KML from Bikemap

Go to the detailed view of a route and press the "GPX" or "KML" button to start the download to your computer:

The downloaded file is then usually located in the "Downloads" folder of your computer.

Step 2: Connect your navigation device to your computer via USB

You can connect your navigation device to your computer with the supplied USB cable. (Some devices need to be turned on or switched to mass storage mode for detection.)

The device will then appear as a separate drive in your Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).

Step 3: Move the GPX file of your route to the navigation device

Now select your previously downloaded GPX file and copy it into the appropriate folder of your Garmin. Depending on your Garmin device, either the folder Garmin/GPX or Garmin/NewFiles will be used.

Step 4: Disconnect the device from the computer and open the GPX file on the navigation device

After successful transmission, the route is now available for use on the navigation device.
