Editing routes
You can edit existing routes both on the website and in the Bikemap app. However, there are more functions available on the website than in the app, which allow you to edit your routes more precisely and in greater detail.
Editing routes on the website
- Log in at www.bikemap.net.
- Select the route you want to change and click on the button "Edit route" in the left-hand side info box.
- Now you can make adjustments along your route and change different things inside the info box.
- Tap "Save changes" if you want to replace the original route. If you like to keep it, click "Save copy" and you'll get an additional with all the new adjustments.

Editing routes in the iOS app
- Navigate to the "Profile" tab.
- Select the route you want to edit.
- Scroll down and tap on "Edit route".
Once you are in the edit mode, you can:
- Change the title and bike type of the route.
- Add photos to the route.
- Delete the route.
- Set the route to private or public. Setting the route to private makes the route only visible to you and it is not shared with other users on Bikemap.
The edited route will be saved in your profile after tapping the "Save" button. If you do not want to save your changes, tap on "Cancel" in the upper left corner.
Editing routes in the Android app
- Navigate to the "Profile" tab.
- Select the route you want to edit from your recorded or planned routes.
- Tap on the three points in the top right corner and select "Edit"from the list.
Once you are in the edit mode, you can:
- Change the title, bike type and surface of the route.
- Add photos to the route.
- Set the route to private or public. Setting the route to private makes the route only visible to you and it is not shared with other users on Bikemap.
The edited route will be saved in your profile after tapping the button "Save route" at the bottom of the screen.
