Changing the storage location (Android)
If you are using the Bikemap app on an Android smartphone you can choose where you want your maps and routes downloaded for offline use to be stored.
An active premium membership and an SD card inserted in the smartphone is required.
Changing the storage location
- Open the Bikemap app on your device, log in and tap on "Profile" at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap on the gear wheel symbol in the upper right corner.
- There you can use the switch beneath "Storage Location" to select if you either want to use the internal storage or external storage to save your maps and routes.
Helpful information
If you selected the external storage wait until the process is finished (switch is blue/turned on) until you download any new maps or routes.
Previously downloaded maps or routes are automatically moved to the new external storage.
Both on the internal or external storage Bikemap automatically creates a folder where all data will be saved.
Pressing the switch is not possible when there is no external storage available. If necessary, check that the SD card has been inserted correctly and that there is free space on it.
