Discovering routes
There are many ways to discover the routes created by the Bikemap community. You can find routes near your current location as well as in the rest of the world. Various filter settings will help you find the right route.
Discovering routes on the website
Routes nearby
In order to find routes nearby, open the home page of Bikemap, log into your account and press the button "Top cycling routes nearby". You will see a map as well as a list with suggested routes in your surrounding area.
Using the filter: You can control this result by clicking on the filter button. There, the length, ascent, bike type and surface of the bike route you are looking for can be adapted to suit your needs. You also have the option to search for a specific route title or to see only round-trip routes or official routes.
Searching somewhere else: Moving the map changes the search result on the left side accordingly. To deactivate this function, click on the blue tick in the top left corner of the map.
Browsing regions
You will get an overview of the various bicycle regions by clicking the "Browse regions" button on the home page. Popular countries and cities as well as the entire list of all bike regions at Bikemap are displayed there. Click on one of the regions to discover interesting information about the area, selected routes and a map of the region.
Alternatively, you can also enter the region or place you are looking for in the search field above.
Discovering routes on the app
When using the app tap the button "Discover" on the bottom of the screen to find routes in your surrounding area. The routes will be displayed in categories such as "Popular routes", "Flat routes" etc. To find more routes of a category tap "See All" to the right of the category.
Using the filter: You can sort and filter the results according to your ideas within this category. By pressing the "Filter" button you can specify the length, ascent, bike type and surface for the bike tours. You can sort the search result by relevance, popularity, length or ascent.
Searching somewhere else: If you want to discover routes at a different location, you can type a region or a place in the search field above. This gives you access to the routes created by the Bikemap community worldwide.
