Route collections

A route collection helps you to organize your routes and find them again with just a few clicks. This article shows you how to create one in the apps and on our website.

Creating a route collection on the website

To create a new route collection:

1. Log in to the website.
2. Click on your username in the top right corner, select “My Routes” and go to “Route collections”.
3. Select the “Add new" button, enter a title, specify whether the collection should be public or private, and click "Create".
4. Add a description, tags and a cover image for your route collection (optional).

If you need tips on how to use a route collection, click on the ?-icon/“Tutorial”. You’re also able to delete a collection by opening it and clicking the trash icon/“Delete”.

Adding and removing routes to the route collection on the website

You can add any route you find on Bikemap to one of your route collections:

1. Select a route on the website.
2. Click on "Add to collection" and select the desired route collection by clicking on the checkmark.

To delete a route do the following:

1. Open the corresponding route collection.
2. Click on the trash can icon next to the route in the route collection.

To create a new route collection:

1. Click on "Profile" and "Collections".
2. Tap the blue "+"
3. Enter a title (required), specify whether the collection should be public or private, add a description and a cover image and click "Create".

If you want to delete your collection, open it, select the edit icon and click “Delete Collection”.

Adding and removing routes to the route collection on iOS

You can add any route you find on Bikemap to one of your route collections:

1. Select any route.
2. Tap the heart icon and choose the preferred collection.

To remove a route from a collection do the following:

1. Open the corresponding route collection.
2. Press and hold the route and select "Remove from collection" or tap the blue heart.

Creating a route collection on Android 

To create a new route collection: 

1. Press the heart icon next to any route.
2. Tap "Create new route collection"
3. Enter a title (required), specify whether the collection should be public or private, add a description and a cover image and click "Save".

If you want to delete your collection, open it, tap the bin icon and press "Delete".

Adding and removing routes to the route collection on iOS

You can add any route you find on Bikemap to one of your route collections:

1. Press the heart icon next to any route.
2. Choose one or several route collections to add the route to by tapping the checkbox. 

To remove a route from a collection do the following:

1. Press the heart icon next to the route in question.
2. Uncheck the box of the relevant route collection.
