The Bikemap reward system
When using the Bikemap app, you are awarded points for completing certain actions or helping the community. Find all information about Bikemap's reward system in this article.
There are two ways you can collect points with Bikemap:
By adding new content to Bikemap: Every time you create, navigate or record a route, you will receive points for your activity. The longer the distances you ride, the more points you get.
By interacting with existing content: Gain points by adding Community Reports to the map, by adding photos there or by reviewing and commenting other users' reports (and helping out the community this way).
If you are on a streak because you have recorded a route with Bikemap every day for a number of consecutive days, the points you gain will be multiplied.
Days marked in black represent past streaks, while days in light grey have no streaks. Days marked in blue represent current streaks.
Note: In order to provide some balance, there is a maximum number of points that can be earned per day.
Keeping track of your progress
Over time, as you complete more and more actions that generate points, your total number of points will increase. This is reflected in your personal level shown on your profile. The maximum level you can reach is currently 30.
On your profile, you can see:
Your current level and current amount of points
How many more points you need to collect to reach the next level
How active you have been on Bikemap in the past and current weeks
Information about your past and current streaks
Notifications about your activity
When you earn points, prolong your streak or level up, you receive a notification about your progress in your phone’s notification centre and on your profile in the Bikemap app. If you are offline, you will receive points for your activity once you’re back online.
If you don’t want to receive notifications, you can switch them off. Here's how to do that:
Go to your phone's notification settings and select Bikemap from the apps list. Turn off notifications there.
